Ureteric catheter is used for drainage, retrograde pyelogram, a traumatic entry of ureteral orifice and navigation to tortuous ureter.

Additional features:

1. Open end tip allows placement over a guide wire for negotiation of a looped or stenotic (tortuous) ureter
2. The tip configuration occludes orifice and stabilizes catheter by temporarily wedging in orifice
3. Angled tip allows the passage of the catheter past a ureteral stone in preparation for ESWL smooth surface for easy insertion
